PROPOSAL 6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS A Toraja

DAY 1:
Arrival at the airport in Makassar, in South Sulawesi.
Transfer to hotel and check-in.
In the afternoon city tour starts with visit to the museum and the traditional market.
A striking sunset will accompany us to the restaurant on the sea for dinner .. After dinner is scheduled for return to hotel.

DAY 2:
After breakfast departure for PARE-PARE where you come for lunch.
Continue the journey but there are multiple stops in interesting places with panoramic views to give free rein to the passion photo.
You reach a place called Puncak LAWANG after dinner is the night here.

Day 3:
After breakfast you start the trip and the first stop will be in a village which is called LEMO where you can see the Tau-Tau, ie statues placed in niches in front of the openings of tombs carved into the rock.
Tau-Tau means "little person" or even "as a person." The Tau-Tau is the image of the deceased, dressed in clothes, jewelry and accessories. It 'more than just a statue, for these people-Tau Tau captures the soul of the deceased. Only members of the upper class may have a statue.
The journey continues towards the village of SUAYA. Very interesting are the many ancient tombs carved into the rock and prepared the Tau-Tau of the royal family.
After you reach Suaya LOND, an important goal to see the famous traditional teak houses built in and covered by a roof of reeds profile similar to the bow of a ship or the like buffalo horns.
These typical houses are called TONGKONAN; lives in each house one family.
This is where you celebrate marriages and funerals. The house is facing south.
You start to reach the city of RANTEPAO for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:
Another exciting day of exploring Toraja: excursions between the traditional villages and small markets with many products.
In the afternoon, is scheduled to arrive at the hotel.

DAY 5:
After breakfast we start up the hill of Batu TUMONGA. From this hill you can admire the beautiful landscape of the valley of RANTEPAO, one of the most evocative of all Toraja.
We arrive at the hotel and those who wish, may make a free tour in the city. Beautiful are the local traditional festivals.

DAY 6:
Last day of the tour. Departure back to Makassar. During the short journey to PARE-PARE for lunch, arrive in town and have time to visit Makassar before going to the airport and take flight to the next destination.
